We believe that in teaching children to swim, we also have a responsibility to teach them to respect the dangers that water can present and how to keep themselves and others safe while they are around it.

Our STA International Learn to Swim Programme emphasises water safety early on introducing skills such as treading water as soon as the children start to swim.
We hold a pyjama parties every year for Children in Need and a clothes week during STA Learn to Swim week every May. All our swimmers whatever their age or ability join in and are introduced to water safety issues.
